Point Lookout Marina to Solomons, Maryland - Up and at it early to try to beat the heat. We had a good ride to the Solomons. We had to go around a target area which is used by the navy base. Apparently it is used something like Star Wars and it is just computerized hits and misses. We were not taking any chances. We stayed at Solomons Landing Guest Dock as we were guests of Nancy and Ted McCarley from Aloha Friday. Daytime temps were hot but at 6.00 p.m. a thunder storm went through and cooled things off which was a pleasant relief. We had a shore dinner at the grill area which was enjoyable with no flies and bugs and a little cooler temperature.
