A Busy Day in Newboro - The Busiest Lock on the System
Boats on the Left are Waiting for the Next Lock along with the Dreaded Houseboats - No One Like to go in the Locks with the Houseboats as they are Rentals and Usually the Captain is a Novice
These Kids Didn't Think it was too Weedy - Anything to Beat the Heat
Narrows Lock (Lock 35) to Newboro Lock (Lock 36) - Very hot today with light winds. We lucked out and go a spot with power as the kids are not feeling well and it was good to turn the air conditioners on. It was too weedy we thought for swimming but Evan did manage to catch a small cat fish along with his normal tons of sun fish. We walked into town to check it out and have more ice cream. Danny and I never have ice cream when the kids aren't with us. The Newboro Lock is the busiest on the system, so it made for an interesting afternoon watching all the near misses in the lock and captains not listening to the lock master.
