Haverstraw, New York to Kingston, New York - Our cruise to Kingston was beautiful, hot but a nice breeze. The scenery reminds me of Northwestern Ontario. On the river today we passed beautiful homes and West Point. You really had to keep your eyes open today to avoid debris in the river, a sign of the flooding that is happening north of us. It again was to hot to anchor so we stayed at the Kingston City Marina. We stayed three days here, Danny and Roger did the maritime museum, Karen and I walked around the downtown area. We took the city trolley (which was entertaining in itself) to the historic district and the farmers market. It has cooled down now with the rain, which is better for touring. Kingston was originally the capital of New York and is divided into three areas, uptown, midtown and downtown. We stayed in the downtown area on the Roundout River.

Love the pictures. Having grown up on the Hudson, and then moved away 25 years ago, It is fun to see sights I recognize. Enjoy your time on the
Hudson.
