Look at What We Came Home To
Pebble Isle - We are leaving the boat at Pebble Isle. Randy from the marina has rented his father's car to us to go home. This marina is excellent and we have met a few boats that have done the loop before and have given us some information on where to stay etc. Always fun to get together at 5.00 P.M. for the impromptu cocktail hour which has so much food that you don't have to cook dinner. This weekend at Pebble Isle there was a bass fishing tournament. What an event? We did not realize that you have to qualify at this tournament to move up to the next tournament. These people are professional fishermen or women. On Sunday we went to Jackson, Tennessee to visit Fay Holloway, Danny first met her in Alaska. On Monday we headed north, made it to Duluth the first day and arrived home on Tuesday morning. We will be in Canada until mid November.

While we were in Canada we went to Kelowna, British Columbia to meet our new granddaughter Meghan Rhys Calder who was born on October 16, 2009 weighing in at 7 lbs.4 oz. She is a keeper and a real good baby. We were there for two weeks and only seen her eyes a couple of times.

While in British Columbia we went to see our ski chalet and boy did they have snow already. It is only a 45 minute drive up the mountain from Kelowna and what a difference in temperature.

Looking forward to getting back to the boat and to begin our adventure. Tropical depression Ida is giving the boaters some wind and waves, hopefully we will miss it. We are leaving our home in Thunder Bay and heading back to the boat on Thursday, we will provision the boat and hopefully start the trip again on Sunday, November 15.
