Clamming on Lake Tashmoo
These Boys are Having a Party - They Did Not Invite us for the Clam Bake
Plumbers Helper a Fitting Name
Eos - One of the Largest Private Sailing Vessels - 305 Feet Long - Current Owners are American Media Entrepreneur Barry Diller and his Wife Fashion Designer Diane von Furstenberg
Falmouth, Massachusetts to Lake Tashmoo, Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts - What did we see on the way?? Nothing not even the front of the boat due to dense fog. It was clear when we left and clear when we arrived but in the middle no visibility. Very trying due to the commercial boats, race boats and ferries. Walked into Vineyard Haven, busy due to Memorial Day Weekend. Carly Simon was in the book store promoting her new children's book.

Hadley Harbour to Falmouth, Massachusetts - Woke up to a beautiful sunny warm day. First day for shorts. Great cruise to Falmouth, no wind, no fog and warm. We finally shut the furnace off, hopefully for the rest of the season. Falmouth has put in new floating docks since last fall. Judi Campbell works in Falmouth and she came for lunch and of course to bring a parcel of davit pads for the dingy that Danny ordered. I went down town and shopped in the little stores, no purchases as when we moved I realized how much stuff I had and I do not need anything, but it is fun to look. The town is in full bloom and is very beautiful and lush. The boat is yellow with pollen, this keeps Danny busy washing the boat and checking the fisherman's' catch.

Nice Summer Home
Boat House with Family Summer Home in the Background
Private Ferry Bringing Workers Over to the Islands
Plymouth, Massachusetts to Hadley Harbour - It was still raining with fog and winds but decided we had to head south for better weather. We will be retracing our steps back to New York City. Hadley Harbour was very quiet , one other boat and it left in the morning. We stayed in the harbour another day to catch up on our e-mails and do some work on the boat. Danny had to remove a tick from my leg, must of picked it up when we took the dog to shore. The islands are privately owned by the Forbes Family who John Kerry is a member. It has many beautiful homes on them complete with staff homes, stables for the horses and its own ferry boat. They have a road system on the islands and bring vehicles and workers over from Woods Hole, I did see a Chimney Sweep and Plumbers truck going to the island and at the end of the day leave on the ferry. I believe the harbour must be run like a village as there are enough homes to do so.

For Our Kids
We arrived at Plymouth to cold, rain, fog and wind. The boat was still on the hard and we were kept busy de-winterizing and supplying the boat for the trip. We did launch the boat on May 17, another foggy, rainy day and then we headed to Brewers Marina to wait for better weather. You can only launch on a mid to high tide as there is no water in the boat well otherwise. Thank goodness for our own personal harbour hosts, Judi and David Campbell who we met on the Loop in Georgian Bay, looking after our needs and entertainment with the exception of the weather. We did some touring of the area and ate the local fare. We had a great time in Plymouth in spite of the weather and met many of the locals who made our time there memorable.

Fall, Winter and Spring 2010-2011

We had a busy fall, winter and spring. We went to back to Thunder Bay and sold our home. It was a surprise that it happened so fast. We packed up all our belongings and stored them until we decided what to do. We ended up moving to Kelowna, British Columbia. Our new home is on Hidden Lake, which is not much bigger than a pond but at least no one is living behind us. It has been quite a long time since we have had neighbours this close, city water and sewer. Our new address is 1878 Hidden Lake Place, Kelowna, BC V1V 2W8. Home Phone Number is 778-484-2778. Danny had a ski accident this winter which landed him in the hospital overnight and then he had surgery in April. Our furniture arrived on April 6, 2011, we unpacked feverishly and then headed back to Thunder Bay for Ella's First Communion. We stayed in Thunder Bay for a few weeks to visit family and friends and then it was off to the boat to continue our adventure.
