This Mannequin is Dressed for the Weather
We are Off to Oswego
Does not Look to Comfortable to Travel in Especially Today
You have to Park on the South Side of the Stop Sign if you have More the 5 Foot of Air Draft
The Cracking Cement Wall on the Lock Gate Hinge is the Problem
Baldwinsville, New York to Oswego, New York - Overcast, high winds and cold. I put my long pants on, Danny braved it and kept his shorts on. All the rain has made the canal quite high and we were going with the current and are getting a 2 mile per hour push. Lock 6 and 7 were tough today due to high cross winds, thank goodness for the bow and stern thrusters. Winds when we were going into lock 7 were 26 miles per hour. We got to Lock 7 and had to wait as it has mechanical problems and is on a reduced schedule. We only waited a couple of hours. We met up with Ted and Nancy from Aloha Friday, who we met in 2009 for the first time in the North Channel of Lake Huron. We did stay at their condo dock in Solomons, Maryland. We are staying here until the lake calms down, and Roger and Karen catch up. One more lock to go on the Erie Canal.
