Solomons, Maryland to Oxford, Maryland - It was an overcast day, but still hot. We anchored in Town Creek, just off the channel markers. This was a cute little town with lots of history, and well maintained heritage homes. The waters around here were full of commercial fisherman. The town was made famous for its tobacco production. Robert Morris Sr. was an English merchant who prompted wealthy merchants and planters to build mansions and stay in the area. On his return trip from England the townspeople set off a cannon salute to thank him for all his efforts which accidentally killed him.
