Chesapeake City, Maryland to Cape May, New Jersey - It was foggy first thing this morning which was okay because we were not leaving until 9.30 a.m. to take advantage of the tidal current which was an extra 2 miles per hour. It was a good travel day but just enough waves and wind to get Danny's hard work of cleaning the boat covered in salt. We passed the large Salem Nuclear plant in Delaware. We tried a few different anchorages but ended up anchoring by the coast guard base as there was not enough water at the other spots. You always have to keep track of that tide. When you leave late it makes the day very long so we did not get to tour the town as we ran out of time. We took the dogs to shore on an area that was posted no trespassing. It was government land. On the shore it was covered with dead Horseshoe Crabs.
