We stayed at the Solomons for the week. It was truly a great stop over with most gracious hosts Ted and Nancy McCarley from Aloha Friday who took the time to take us out to dinner and show us around. This may be their home but it is like a resort. Solomons is a boating mecca with boats of all sizes and shapes. Danny serviced the boat while Ella and I spent most days at the pool keeping cool. Danny did join us, so it wasn't all work for him. We did take the time to go to Calverts Maritime Museum which had a bit of everything it. River otters, rays, skates, crabs and species of fish from the area. They also had old motors and wooden boats. Ella's stay with us is coming to an end and Danny flew her back to Minneapolis on July 31, where Lori, Tony and Evan met her. We hated to see her leave. While Danny was away Nancy took me shopping on the navy base it was very interesting. The houses on the base were new, nothing like I pictured.
